1c white sugar
1c brown sugar
1.5c shortening
3 eggs
5c flour
1t soda
1t cinnamon
1t nutmeg
1t mixed spice
1t vanilla
1t lemon extract
1t salt
Nut meats, if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift dry ingredients together with Cream shortening and sugar. Combine with eggs and cream thoroughly. Add sifted dry ingredients and flavoring. Fold in nut meats. Mold in rolls, wrap in wax paper, and chill thoroughly in the refrigerator. Slice. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
