For each jar:
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 tsp. dill seed (or fresh dill)

Liquid in jars:
2 1/2 c. water
2 1/2 c. vinegar
1/4 c. canning salt

Use sterile pint jars. Fill each jar with green beans. Add the cayenne pepper, garlic, and dill seed. In a large pot, mix the water, vinegar, and salt. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Pour into each jar. Put a lid and ring on each jar. In a canning pot or other similar pot, place the jars inside and pour very hot (near boiling) water. Cover with a towel and leave overnight. Next day, check to see if all jars sealed. If there are jars that didn't seal, put in refrigerator and eat those first.
