4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Frosting:
1 c. brown sugar
½ c. heavy cream
3 tbsp. butter
3½ c. powdered sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease and flour 9x11 baking dish.

Mix together: 2 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking powder ½ tsp. salt. Set aside.
Beat 4 eggs well then add 2 c. sugar. Add this to the dry ingredients.

Boil 1 c. of milk and 2 tbsp. butter. Add 2 tsp. vanilla, and add to the egg flour mixture. Pour into prepared baking dish and bake for 35 minutes.

Frosting:
Add to a sauce pan and boil a little; 1 c. brown sugar, ½ c. heavy cream, 2 tbsp. butter. Remove from heat and add the powdered sugar to thicken.

Frost the cake when cooled.

This was my favorite cake that my grandmother made! The cake itself was so moist and dense, and the frosting is a thick brown sugar delight!
