2 Cups Shortening
2 Cups White Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla
4 Eggs
2 tsp. Baking Soda
2 tsp. Salt
4 1/2 Cup Flour
2 Cups Chocolate Chips
1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts (Optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and sugars well. Then add the eggs and vanilla. Stir in baking soda, salt and flour. Add 1/4 to 1/2 Cup Flour if dough seems too sticky. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by tsp. onto cookie sheet. (I use a pampered chef scoop). Bake cookies until almost done at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, then taken them out of oven and let them finish on the cookie sheet for a few minutes. The longer you bake them the crispier they will be.
