• 1 cup butter- cream
• 1 cup confectioners sugar- cream with butter
• 1tsp real vanilla
• ½ tsp pure almond (or at least ½ tsp peppermint)
• 2 large eggs
• Yolks at room temp
• 2½ cups flour
• ¼ *tsp salt if you used no salt butter

Directions:

"• Separate dough into 2 parts, color ½ with red coloring- using mixer- liquid about ½ tsp / or paste about same."
• Mix to blend color.
• Chill a little- maybe ½ hour

"• Take walnut sized pieces and roll into a ball, then roll into 4-5 inch rope."
"• Make each the same length, lay them side by side, pick up and twist. Lay on baking sheet and make hook on top. Lightly smooth out or flatten ropes."

"• While oven is preheating to 375X, pop tray in fridge - 10. Mins so they won't spread as much."

• Put in oven and cook about 8-10 Mins or till it sets and white part barely shows light brown.
