2 C Sugar
3 Eggs
4 C Flour
1/2 tsp Salt

Cream butter, sugar & vanilla until light. Add beaten eggs - blend well. Add sifted flour & salt - use more flour to make a stiff dough if needed. Chill dough for 20-30 minutes then roll out to 1/4 “ thickness & cut with cookie cutters. Bake on parchment lined cookie sheet 10 minutes at 400 degrees. (Cookies may be sprinkled before baking with colored sugars or frost afterwards). Remove baked cookies to wire racks to cool.
