½ cup shortening
1 ½ cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Glaze
2 Tbsp melted butter
Powdered sugar
Hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Beat together shortening and brown sugar. Add eggs and combine. Stir in evaporated milk and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to other ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Make glaze by combining melted butter with 1-2 cups powdered sugar and a couple tablespoons of hot water. Pour glaze over cookies when still slightly warm.
