1 CUP SUGAR
1 EGG
1/2 TSP CREAM OF TARTER
1/2 TSP BAKING SODA
1 TSP VANILLA
2 CUPS FLOUR
1/4 TSP SALT

CREAM BUTTER & CRISCO
AND SUGAR AND MIX TILL LIGHT AND FLUFFY
ADD EGG AND VANILLA MIX TILL COMBINED
ADD CREAM OF TARTER, BAKING SODA, AND
ADD FLOUR. MIX TILL COMBINED.
REFRIGERATE FOR AT LEAST ONE HOUR
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES
ROLL INTO 1" BALLS AND PLACE 2 INCHES APART ON COOKIE SHEET. USING A FORK LIGHTLY PRESS EACH COOKIE.
BAKE FOR 10 TO 12 MINUTES. REMOVE WHEN EDGES ARE LIGHT BROWN.
COOL ON RACK

MAKES 4 DOZEN
