1 c. shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 ½ tsp. salt
1 ½ c. flour
3 c. quick oats, uncooked
1 c. black walnuts, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Make dough into a roll and chill in refrigerator for several hours or overnight. Slice into ⅛" thick slices. Bake at 350° until light golden brown.
