3 lbs ripe peaches or 6 cups frozen sliced and drained peaches
1 T lemon juice
1/4 C firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cornstarch
1/2 C water
1/4 C sugar
1/2 C sifted flour
1/2 t baking powder
1/4 t salt
2 T butter
1 Large egg

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 grease 2 qt casserole dish: Prepare peaches in bowl. Dissolve water and cornstarch. Add brown sugar over med heat stirring until sauce thickens- pour over peaches.

Stir remaining ingredients together and drop by spoonfuls over peaches. Topping spreads as it bakes. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. serve warm with cool whip or vanilla ice cream
