3¼ cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

½ cup butter or margarine, softened

1 cup sugar

1 egg, unbeaten

1 tsp. vanilla

½ cup thick sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
In medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl combine softened butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer on high speed for 2 minutes. Add sour cream; blend in. Fold in dry ingredients until blended.

Refrigerate for a while (about 1 hour or even overnight)

Heat oven to 425ºF. Grease cookie sheet. You can either roll out about ¼ inch thick and cut with cookie cutters, or form small balls, place on cookie sheet, and flatten with your hand. Bake for 12 minutes.

NOTE: If desired, you can frost and decorate cooled cookies, or before baking you can sprinkle with regular sugar or colored sugar.
