¾ cup shortening
1½ cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup pear mincemeat
¼ cup milk
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, beating well. Add milk and mincemeat.

Add dry ingredients and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º F for about 15 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
