¾ cup brown sugar
¾ cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ¼ cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 T hot water
12 oz. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars together. Add eggs.
Add dry ingredients, then vanilla. Mix in hot water and add chocolate chips.
Use small cookie scoop to form cookies, bake at 350º for 9-11 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool on wire racks before serving.
