Cake:
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
4 bananas and 2 tsp baking soda (mashed and creamed)
1½ cup flour
2T milk
1 tsp vanilla
½ nuts and/or raisins (optional)

Caramel frosting:
½ cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
¼ cup milk
1¼ - 2 cups sugar

Cake:
Mix all ingredients for cake and bake ½ hour at 375º and 10 more minutes at 325º. Do not beat better.

Frosting:
Melt butter. Add brown sugar. Cook over low heat 2 minutes stirring constantly. Add milk. Continue to cook and stir until it comes to a boil. Remove from heat and cool. Add confectioners sugar gradually until right consistency to spread. If its too stiff, add a few drops of milk.
