1 c. butter, softened
1 ½ c. sugar
2 eggs
2 ½ c. all-purpose flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
16 oz. dates, chopped
8 oz. candied cherries
8 oz. candied pineapple
3 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time and mix well between each addition. Add the dry ingredients and mix until combined and then fold in the fruit and the chopped pecans and drop by the tablespoon or cookie scoop on a greased cookie sheet. Cook at 375º for 13 minutes, cool for 1 minute before moving to a cooling rack.

Charles loves these cookies and, luckily, Rachael was able to find the recipe in her mom's recipe box. Melinda would make these cookies for Charles at Christmas time and they truly are a treasure and so delicious!
