Personal Notes:
Every Christmas, cookie decorating was an event at the Kolstad home. Mom would have us all sit down at the kitchen table with dozens of unfrosted cookies, a big bowl of frosting and sprinkles. Also on the table would be several wet washcloths. These were for our fingers...after we licked frosting off them. There was never a germ spread in our house at Christmas time!

PS A year before Mom died, Barb had her over to help frost a batch of cookies, for old time's sake. She still yelled if anyone licked their fingers. Good hygiene habits die hard in our family.
