1- cup sugar
1- cup margarine, softened
1½- teaspoon vanilla
2- eggs
3- cups flour
1- teaspoon salt
½- teaspoon baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla, and eggs.

2. Mix in remaining ingredients.

3. Divide dough into 3 equal parts.

4. Shape into roll 1½ inches in diameter and about 7 inches long.

5. Wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

6. Heat oven to 400º. Cut roll into ⅛ inch slices and place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

7. Bake 8 to 10 minutes till set.

8. Immediately remove cookies from cookie sheet.
