1 c. softened butter
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. coarsely crushed potatoe chips
1 egg white, slightly beaten
granulated sugar
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter; add sugar, cream again. Blend in egg and the vanilla. Fold in flour, walnuts and potato chips into creamed mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with tines of fork in 2 directions. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 350 degrees oven 10-12 minutes. Yield: 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
