1 c. salted butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 t. almond extract
2 c. all-purpose flour (270 g)
3/4 c. powdered sugar
pinch of salt
1 can cherry pie filling
4 ounces dark or white chocolate, for decorating

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 325° F.
2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
3 Beat the butter in a medium bowl with until creamy.
4. Mix in the vanilla and almond extract until incorporated.
5. Add the flour, powdered sugar, and pinch of salt and begin to mix. The mixture will be VERY crumbly and will seem dry, keep mixing it will come together.
6. Roll cookie dough balls about 1 tbsp or 35 grams in size.
7. Place balls a few inches apart onto a prepared baking sheet, and use your thumb to make an indent in each one.
8. Spoon 2-3 cherries from the cherry pie filling into each indent.
9. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
10. Melt chocolate and drizzle over cooled cookies.
11. Be sure to let the chocolate set first and use parchment or wax paper between layers if stacking for storage
