8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
8 tbsp. butter at room temperature
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 pkg. red velvet cake mix
1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

Frosting:
4 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
4 tbsp. butter at room temperature
2 cup confectionary sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
red decorating sugar

Directions:

Preheat 0ven to 350.
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In large bowl, on medium speed, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
On low speed beat in egg and vanilla.
Add cake mix and cocoa powder.
Mix well until soft dough forms.
Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place 2inches apart on cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
Transfer to wire rack to cool.

Frosting:
In bowl, on medium speed, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. On low speed, gradually beat in sugar, then vanilla.
Spread frosting over cookie and sprinkle with red colored sugar.
