2 cups sugar
2 eggs well beaten
1 cup oleo
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
dash of salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 cups flour
1 Tbs. vanilla

Icing:

2 ½ cups powdered sugar
1 egg
dash of salt
4 ½ Tbs. white sugar
2 Tbs. water

Directions:

Cream sugar and oleo add eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to oleo mixture alternating with buttermilk. Drop by tablespoons. Bake 400º for 10 minutes. Makes 3 dozen

To make icing: Mix powdered sugar with egg and dash of salt, set aside. Boil white sugar and water only until dissolved. Pour over powdered sugar mixture. Beat until smooth add more powdered sugar if needed.
