Ingredients:	Ingredients: ¾ c shortening 1 c sugar 2 eggs 2 T milk 1 t vanilla extract 2 ¼ c flour 1 t baking powder ½ t baking soda ½ t salt 1 c chopped pecans 2/3 c maraschino cherries – chopped 2 ½ c crushed cornflakes 10 maraschino cherries – quartered

Directions:	Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 375º. 2. Lightly grease baking sheets. 3. Cream the shortening with the sugar. 4. Blend in the eggs, milk and vanilla. 5. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. 6. Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well. 7. Stir in the chopped pecans and 2/3 c maraschino cherries. 8. Shape teaspoonful sized chunks of dough into balls. 9. Roll each ball in the crushed corn flakes. 10. Place balls on the prepared baking sheets and top each cookie with ¼ quarter maraschino cherry. 11. Bake for 17-20 minutes. 12. If first batch comes out flat, add more flour. 13. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
