Ingredients:
10 or 12 cookies
10-12 large marshmallows
Black decorating gel
Cookie Icing
Wilton Decorating Tips

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare a batch of roll out sugar cookies of your choice. Take a small chunk (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten to about 1/4"-1/2" depending on how thick you like your cookies. Remember, they are supposed to be melted snowmen so the more irregular the shapes are, the better the final product will look.

Bake the cookies according to directions. Allow the cookies to cook completely on a wire rack before decorating.

While the cookies are baking, make a batch of buttercream frosting. When cookies are cool spread some of the frosting over the cookies. Allow the frosting to drip over the edges of the cookie for that melting effect.

Next place a marshmallow on top of the cookie and microwave on high for about 10 seconds. Watch the marshmallows carefully, you don't want to let them get too fluffy and you don't want the frosting to melt too much.

Start decorating! I found it easier to do the arms and faces first, then add the rest of the details. For the arms, eyes and mouth, use a black piping gel. It comes in a small tube and is easy to use for fine details.

For the buttons, you may use red cinnamon candy or #16 star tip from Wilton. And for the scarves use fruit roll-ups sliced to size OR use frosting with a flat decorating tip #101 or #46 from Wilton OR you may also use a set of cookie frosting tubes with plastic tips..

For noses, use Wilton's Rainbow Chip Crunch Sprinkles. It comes in a container with lots of colors and simply pick out the orange ones.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Tip - I used the Old Fashioned Sugar Cookie and Buttercream Frosting recipes. I frosted the cookies and placed marshmallow on the cookies. Then melted the frosting and marshmallow in the microwave for about 10 seconds. I used candy for the buttons.

You may also use 1 pouch of Sugar Cookie Cookie Mix, plus ingredients on the package to make the dough which makes 10 or 12 cookies.
