1 8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 stick of butter
3 cups unshifted flour

Mix together like a pie crust and refrigerate.

Roll out on a floured service to 1/4 inch thickness, cut into 2" circles

Fill circles with 1/2 teaspoon of date filling, fold over and pinch closed

Roll in granulated sugar

Place on ungreased cookie sheet

Bake at 375º for 20-25 minutes, until slightly brown

1 pkg dates, cut into small pieces
1/2 cup of water (more if too dry)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup chopped nuts

Heat date pieces in water,
remove from heat and add sugar and nuts
Allow to cool
