2 ½ C flour
1 ½ C powdered sugar
1 egg
1 C butter (not margarine)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar

FROSTING:
powdered sugar
vanilla
milk
food coloring

Directions:

COOKIES:
1. Preheat oven to 350º.

2. Cream butter and powdered sugar.

3. Add egg and vanilla.

4. Mix in the baking soda and cream of tartar.

5. Add flour.

6. Divide dough in 1/2 to roll easier.

7. Roll and cut out with cookie cutters.

8. Bake at 350º for 5-7 minutes.

If the dough is sticky, add more flour to the counter when rolling out and it won't stick to the rolling pin.


FROSTING:
1. Mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk until you get a desired consistency.

2. Then add food coloring.
