1 cup of soft butter

1/2 cup of powered sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla

2 1/4 cups of flour

1/4 teaspoon of salt

3/4 cup of chopped walnuts

Cream butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy

Stir in vanilla

Wisk flour with salt into butter mixture

Stir in chopped nuts

Chill dough overnight, all day, or just one to two hours

Form dough into 1 1/4 inch balls

Place dough on ungreased and lined with parchment paper cookie sheets

Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until they are starting to get light golden brown

While cookies are still warm, roll them in powdered sugar

You can store in a tight container for up to 3 weeks, I think. They never lasted that long at my house before they were all eaten up.



These cookies can be eaten anytime of the year, I love these cookies and I hope you will too!
