Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup softened butter
2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
York Peppermint Patty minis

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º degrees.
In a small bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and baking powder.
In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in the egg and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients, a little at a time, until everything is incorporated.
Set dough in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes.
Wrap the dough around individual peppermint patties, being careful to seal completely. You should not see any of the patty. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. You can add sprinkles prior to putting the cookie sheet if you like (red for Christmas or Valentines, Orange for Fall, etc.)
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, let rest for 2 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Grandma Mary made these for a bake sale for the Eastern Star.

I only remember them one time....but I remember them as being very good.
