1 ¼ cup Sugar Granulated, white
1 cup Crisco Butter Flavored Shortening
2 large eggs
¼ cup Light Corn Syrup
1 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
3 cups All Purpose Flour (Plus 4 Tbsp. Divided)
¾ tsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt

Directions:
Heat oven to 375º.

Combine sugar and Crisco in a large bowl. Beat until well blended.

Add eggs, syrup and vanilla. Beat until well blended and fluffy.

Combine 3 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add gradually to creamed mixture. Mix until well blended.

Divide dough into 4 portions. Wrap each portion into plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour.

Pre-heat oven to 375º

Place one portion of dough onto a floured surface. Flatten slightly and roll dough to ¼ inch thickness. Cut out desired shapes with a floured cutter and place 2 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 375º for 5 to 9 minutes. Do Not Overbake.

Cool 2 minutes on the baking sheet.

Remove thee cookies and cool completely before decorating with frosting.
