½ c. Butter, softened
½ c. Peanut Butter
½ c. Sugar
½ c. Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla
1¾ c. Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
Extra Sugar for rolling cookies in

VARIATION #2: Peanut Blossom
Approx. 48 Candy Kisses (1-14oz bag=80 Kisses)

VARIATION #3: Rolo Cookies
Approx. 36 Rolo candies
Approx. 1½ oz. Chocolate Chips,melted with ¼ tsp Crisco
Approx. 1½ oz. Vanilla Chips, melted with ¼tsp Crisco
Directions:
Directions:
Cream:Butter, Peanut Butter, Sugar, and Brown Sugar
Add: Egg and Vanilla
Blend in : Flour, Soda and Salt
Drop by large cookie scoop. Roll into balls.
Roll in Sugar.
Flatten with fork.
Bake 350º for 13-15 minutes.
Makes approx 3 dozen

VARIATION#2: Peanut Blossom
Drop by small cookie scoop. Roll into balls.Roll in Sugar.
Bake: 350º for 9-10 minutes.
Top with Candy Kiss(unwrapped, of course)
Makes appro. 4 dozen

VARIATION#3: Rolo Cookies
Drop by large cookie scoop.
Wrap dough around unwrapped Rolo.Make sure dough is sealed, or caramel will leak out. Roll in Sugar.
Bake: 350º for 10-12 minutes.
Drizzle cooled cookies with chocolate chips in one direction, then Vanilla chips in opposite direction.

These are the VERY BEST Peanut butter cookies ever, as reported by peanut butter cookie aficionados at the farmers markets. Not sure where this recipe originated, it was handed down from my grandmother.
