1&1/2 Sticks of butter, softened I usually double this recipe
1/4 Cup sugar
1/4 Cup powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons grated lime zest (2 medium limes)
2 Tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1&1/2 Cups flour

Lime Glaze:

3/4 Cup powdered sugar
5 teaspoons lime juice
1 teaspoon lime zest

Heat oven to 350 degrees Bake 15 minutes

Beat butter and sugars until light in color. Add lime zest, juice and salt and beat until combined. Add flour a little at a time and mix until dough forms

On plastic wrap, shape the dough into an 8-inch log and flatten to 1&1/2" high and 2&1/2" wide - wrap and refrigerate until firm, from 1 hour up to a day

Slice log into 1/4" pieces and place on parchment lined baking sheet

Bake - rotate pans halfway through until barely golden - cool completely

Glaze,

Stir all ingredients until smooth, frost, then let set until dry

It usually takes more glaze since I do like to cover the whole cookie, yum

I've always wanted to try this recipe and use either lemon or orange instead, but haven't yet - maybe you will, and they'll be even better
