1/2 C. lard or shortening
1 C. white sugar
1 egg
1/2 C. sour cream or buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 1/4 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Roll on floured canvas, leave fairly thick (for cookies). Cut with cookie cutter and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350º (maybe 30 mins.) until done- should be soft. Glaze with powdered sugar frosting.

These are the sugar cookies she would leave in the freezer and pull out for all the grandkids. They were the best out of the freezer.
