2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cup chocolate chips
1 cut nuts (optional)

reheat oven to 375º F.

Combine flour. baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.

Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in Chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto uncreased baking sheets.

bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
