1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
5 Tbsp sugar
3 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix butter, sugar and eggs thoroughly in large bowl.
Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Chill dough and ungreased cookie sheets in fridge for 20-30 minutes.
Meanwhile mix 5 Tbsp sugar and 3tsp cinnamon in small bowl.
Scoop 1inch balls of dough, coat by gently rolling in the sugar mixture.
Place on chilled ungreased cookie sheet, bake 10 minutes.
Remove from pan to cooling rack immediately.
