CAKE:
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 cup margarine
⅓ cup cocoa
1 cup water
½ cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 tsp baking soda

ICING:
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
½ cup margarine
⅓ cup cocoa
6 Tb milk
2 cups icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
To make the cake, mix sugar and flour together.
In a small saucepan, combine margarine, cocoa and water. Bring this to a boil, then pour over the flour mixture and stir. Add buttermilk, baking soda, eggs and vanilla. Mix and pour into a large greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400º for 20 minutes.
Start making the icing 5 minutes before cake is done, then pour over hot cake.
Icing: Combine margarine, cocoa, and milk and heat. Just before it boils, add the icing sugar.

To make this into an ice-cream cake, don't add icing to the cake.
For the ice cream, soften 1 pound (1 carton) of ice cream. Add crushed oreo cookies and 1 large softened tub of whipped cream. Stir together and press into a 9/13 pan.
Freeze.
Cut the cake to the size of the pan, then use whatever icing you want. Keep frozen.
