1 c. sugar
1 egg unbeaten
¼ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
⅔ c. flour
½ tsp. baking powder

Mix dough - chill - roll out and cut not too thin.

Punch small indentation on top of each cookie and put in a small dab of apricot jam.

Heidi Hastings remembers being served these cookies after breakfast at Nettie and Severt Johnson's farm in the 1960's when she visited there as a child. Grandma Bieler (Ellen Dell Bieler), Jean and Bob Hastings, Heidi and Tom, and Heather visited the Johnson farm for several summers.
