½ cup butter
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
1⅛ cups flour
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp milk
¼ cup jam
Powdered sugar for rolling baked cookies

Directions:
Directions:
In a stand mixer, combine the butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla; blend on medium speed.
Add dry ingredients, a little at a time.
Add the milk.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in fridge for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400º.
Break off 2-inch pieces of the dough and roll into balls.
Cut the balls in half.
Make an indentation with thumb in each half.
Fill each half with ½ tsp of jam.
Press the halves back together and pinch along the seems; roll back into balls.
Bake for 10 minutes; transfer to a wire rack.
Immediately roll in powdered sugar, then place back on wire rack.
Cool for 30 minutes, then roll in powdered sugar again.
