1¼ cups firmly packed brown sugar
¾ cup Crisco Butter Flavored All-Vegetable Shortening
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 full egg+ 1 egg yolk
1¾ cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon baking soda
½ milk chocolate chips
½ semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Heat oven to 375ºF. Beat brown sugar, shortening, milk, and vanilla in large bowl with mixer on high speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs.

Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 3 inches apart onto uncreased baking sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Makes 3 dozen cookies

Finding the right amount of flour is quite tricky. It might take more than the recipe says it might take less. It is just a thing where you learn as you go.

Watkins vanilla is superior to all other vanillas.
