2½ cups oil
3 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
¾ cup molasses
6¾ cup flour
6 tsp baking soda
3 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt
White sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 325º. Combine oil, sugar, eggs and molasses together and mix well. Then add flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Make one inch balls and roll into white sugar. Place on an greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.

Grandma Holtz always added walnuts. Her note says to bake 15-16 minutes and that she usually made a 1/2 batch but you can always freeze.
