1 C butter (or margarine)
2 C sugar
2 eggs
1 C sour cream
½ tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp almond extract
1 tsp baking soda
4 tsp baking powder
5 C flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs, continuing to beat. Add sour cream and flavoring. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Cool thoroughly. Roll into balls about the size of a golf ball; dip bottom of glass or large cover in sugar and press ball flat. Bake at 350º for 15-18 minutes.
