Pastry:
5 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
1 lb lard
1 tbsp vinegar
1 egg slightly beaten
Butter tart mixture:
½ cup margarine
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
½ cup corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp vinegar
Walnuts + raisins to taste

Directions:

Crust:
1. Mix salt, flour and lard. Mix until it is like coarse cereal.

2. In a separate mixture, combine vinegar, beaten egg and water until it becomes 1 cup. Add gradually to dry mix above and mix thoroughly.

3. Roll in fork and refrigerate until use.

Filling:
1. Mix margarine until creamed well. Mix in brown sugar.

2. Beat in 2 eggs, corn syrup and vanilla.

3. Slowly add in vinegar, beating well.

4. Add walnuts/raisins as desired.
