1-3/4 c melted crisco, (i use butter flavored)
1 c sugar
1-1/4 c brown sugar
4 eggs
5 c flour
1 Tbsp baking soda
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1 c pecans, finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients in a stand mixer. Note: add the flour gradually. (you can mix all by hand, but it gets really hard once all flour is added)

2. Firmly shape into two loaves. Cover with wax paper and plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight

3. Thinly slice cookies. Place on parchment lined cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. (I lowered the temperature 10 degrees in my oven since I felt they were browning too quickly)

This is another one of Gramma Gus's annual Holiday cookies. They ARE good on their own, however most people like to dunk them in coffee or tea. I LOVED to dunk them in coffee. I usually got my own little cup of coffee. I felt SO grown up!
