Shortening, size of hen's egg
1/2 c. sour cream filled with milk
1 tsp. each of soda and baking powder

Mix all ingredients - add flavoring - vanilla, lemon, or nutmeg. The recipe can be doubled. Add nuts or raisins if you like.
