¾ C Soften butter or shortening
1 C Sugar
2 Eggs
½ t Flavoring (Vanilla or Lemon)

2½ C Shifted Flour
1 t Baking Powder
1 t Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix - Butter/Shortening - Sugar - Egg - Flavoring

Once mixed stir in Flour, Baking Powder, Salt

Chill for at least 1 hour.
Roll out ⅛ thick. Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased sheet. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.

Bake at 400º for 6 to 8 minutes 0 until delicately brown
