1 cup butter
1 cup each: white and brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 cups flour
2 1/2 cups regular oatmeal (measure first, then process in blender to fine powder)
1/2 t salt
1 t each: baking powder and baking soda
12 oz. package best semi-sweet chocolate chips (Ghirardelli)
2 4 oz. Hershey bars, grated
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans (or other choice of nuts)

Directions:

Set oven at 375 degrees

Cream butter with both sugars; add eggs and vanilla, beating well.

Mix in flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Mixture will be stiff.

Add chocolate chips, grated Hershey bars and nuts.

Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake for 10 (plus) minutes, depending on cookie size and oven.
