2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. (2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
3 c. mix-ins
Mix-ins can be any combination of chopped dried fruit or dates, chocolate chips, raisins, M&M's (choc or nuts), peanut butter pieces, butterscotch pieces, or nuts. Use 3 cups of one or mixture of any of the above.

Preheat oven to 375°
Mix flour, baking soda and salt on wax paper.
Mix butter, sugars and vanilla in a bowl until creamy. Mix in eggs, gradually.
Stir in flour mixture.
Add in mix-ins and stir to combine.
Drop batter by the tablespoon-fulls, 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown Cool on wire rack.
