Notes: My mom has been making these cookies since I was little. At first, she just put colored sugar on them, but lately she makes them "naked" and I decorate them with Royal Icing. She typically only makes them for Christmas because they take time, but she has made them for baby showers and office events too.
I've never seen another sugar cookie recipe with powdered sugar, and its the "secret ingredient" in making these so light they literally melt in your mouth.
