1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup ground hazelnuts
12 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 tablespoons strawberry jam
1 cup powdered sugar
Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift flour, mix with baking powder and sugar, and place the mixture on the kitchen counter or board.
2. Place hazelnuts and sliced butter on the top.
3. Knead into a smooth dough.
4. Place the dough in the refrigerator for about one to two hours.
5. Roll the dough out to 1/8 inch thick.
6. Cut out 1 1/2 inch diameter rounds, and place them on a buttered cookie sheet.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
8. Spread jam on one round and then top with another.
9. Roll cookies in powdered sugar.
