3 cups flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
sift flour; measure; add baking powder and salt sift again.

Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and continue beating until light; Add well beaten eggs and blend thoroughly; ad vanilla

Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk; mix well chill

Drop by teaspoonfuls 2-3 inches apart on a well greased baking sheet. Bake in a hot oven 400 degrees 8-10 minutes
