1 2/3 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Cream butter; add sugar and cream. Blend in the egg, vanilla, and dry ingredients. Mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on parchment or silicone covered baking sheets. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to a rack to cool
 

Frosting

1 cup pecan pieces
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cream
1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar and cream in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; boil 2 minutes. Remove from the heat. Blend in 1 cup sifted confectioners sugar; beat until smooth.

Break pecan halves into 2-4 pieces. Place 4 pieces on each cookie. Drizzle a teaspoon of frosting on each cookie, covering the pecan pieces If the frosting gets too thick, thin with cream.
