Ingredients:  
1 cup shortening or margarine
1 cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 ½ cups rolled oats (quick cooking)
1 ½ cup white all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp molasses
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice and nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the shortening or margarine with the sugars. Add Egg and mix until smooth.
Add the other ingredients in the order given. Drop by small teaspoonsful onto cookie sheets (I don’t grease the cookie sheets and they seem fine).
Bake moderate oven, 350 degrees, for 8-10 minutes.
